The Detox Facial Mask:
One of my favorite ways to unwind in the evening is by applying a hydrating detox mask, burning a lavender scented candle and streaming Friends while sipping a glass of pinot noir. This detox facial mask from By-cosmetics has definitely been one of my favorite jams over the past few weeks. I store this mask in the fridge to maintain its smoothing and cooling effects and when I’m ready to apply it, I scoop a tablespoon of the mask into a bowl and heat it up for 10 seconds. Doing so helps to soften the mixture and make it easier to apply. I love this mask because of its fresh woody-citrus scent, which is jelled into a smooth compound with several invigorating ingredients. To name a few-it contains aloe, seaweed, blue clay and rosemary extract.
Aloe is known by ancient Egyptians as the “Plant of Immortality” because of its wondrous healing properties. In its solid form, this material contains over 75 different nutrients alone. This includes salicylic acid, minerals, enzymes and amino acids.
Secondly, seaweed is oftentimes used in spa baths to help cleanse and exfoliate the skin of its impurities. It has long been used in Asian beauty routines because of its natural pigment, carotene, which helps even out the skin tone.
Blue clay is an ideal ingredient for absorbing excess oil from the pores without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. On the other hand, rosemary is like caffeine for the skin. Its natural presence of caffein acid helps awaken the pores and leaves the skin feeling refreshed.
Once I apply this mask, I leave it on for about 30 minutes which allows it enough time to dry and seep into my pores. When finished, I rinse my face with warm water and pat it dry,
The Cayenne Body Cellulite Mask:
Raise your hand if cellulite has ever been an issue or a concern for you. If so, maybe you should try the Cayenne Cellulite Body Mask from By-Cosmetics. Oftentimes, cellulite is mistaken as solely a “thick girl issue,” when really anyone can be susceptible to having it. It doesn’t matter if you are thick, thin, black or white etc. Many body treatments pride themselves on being able to rid us of this skin phenomenon. However, not many treatments are actually able to deliver on this promise. Sure, botox and dry-brushing for example, are remedial quick-fixes that make the skin appear more firm and toned. But their long-term results are unequivocally null.
This potent cellulite mask contains cayenne pepper which is a fat-burning natural ingredient that assists with heating up the body and stimulating blood flow. This helps breakdown fatty deposits.
When applying this mask, make sure to cover the targeted area with saran wrap for compression. For instance, if you are trying to reduce the appearance of cellulite on your thighs, start off by applying a small amount of this mixture to your legs and then wrap them with saran wrap to facilitate the process. This step is crucial for increasing circulation to that area. Disclaimer: Be careful not to wrap too tight!.
Another reason to try out this body mask is because it contains many wonderful ingredients. This includes coconut oil which is amazing for repairing the skin. There is ginger, that has anti-inflammatory properties. Lastly, red clay helps clarify the skin’s texture and tightens it through the process.
Try out this product and let it spice up your life!
