Run Through the Tape!

“There are better starters than me but I’m a strong finisher.” —Usain Bolt
💥As a track athlete, one thing my dad (who was my track coach growing up) always stressed, was the importance of “running through the tape.”
💥It didn’t matter if you were neck and neck with someone or running that race on your own. Because ultimately in a race, you’re always running against the clock!
💥Everything you do for you, should contribute to your self improvement.
💥Having an athletes mindset has definitely translated a lot into my personal life. That “go getter” attitude pushes me at times when I want to give up.
💥In some of my best races when I pushed my body to its limits, I never looked back and harped on the pain or the challenge of the race. Instead, I couldn’t help but get excited about my new PR time or how much better I did than the last time I stepped on the track.
💥Sometimes when I’m stressed I try to remind myself that pain and struggles are only temporary..But success is forever.
😎Take a moment today to calm your mind and seek clarity. That still voice speaks louder in the silence. Keep that fire, maintain your edge and run through that tape!!!
