Happy International Women’s Day!
Today we are celebrating this occasion with Debonnaire girl, Valerie Weisler- Founder and CEO of The Validation Project. This is an international organization that combats bullying, and provides teenagers with the resources to develop confidence and self-worth. Weisler started this global movement at 14 years old, when she was a victim of bullying.
Fast forward 6 years later and she is much happier, more confident, and the organization that she built from the ground up, has grown exponentially.
The Validation Project is currently working with more than 6,000 teenagers in 105 countries.
Recently, Valerie was recognized as an awardee in the L’OREAL: Women of Worth competition, where she met and developed a friendship with Elle Fanning. In addition, she is a United Nations Human Rights Committee (HRC) youth ambassador. It is clear that changing the world through social justice initiatives, is the way she likes to spread validation.
In an interview, I asked Valerie what “Beauty with Substance” meant to her, and she said
“Beauty with substance means beauty with flaws. You should embrace your quirks, your obstacles, and your whole self. Likewise, support the people around you to embrace themselves too.”
As we celebrate this day, let’s remember LADIES, It’s Always the Right Time to Feel Validated 😉
